This trip involves an overnight camping trip under the world-renowned Horseshoe Bend Lookout. From Gilbert, Arizona we travel five hours to Lees Ferry just outside of Page, AZ.  We take a backhaul (boat ride) from Lee’s Ferry up to Glen Canyon Dam where we are dropped off at the top. There is no other way to reach the top to paddle downriver. Our first day. we paddle 6 miles to our campsite, usually mile nine campgrounds. Along the way, we see petroglyphs and a couple of natural springs. Camping in Marble Canyon is amazing as the darkness provides a great view of the stars. On day two, we paddle 9 miles back down to Lees Fairy. There is a slot canyon hike 4 miles from Lee’s Ferry that we will sometimes stop at depending on the group. We stop in Flagstaff for lunch on the way back to Gilbert. If you prefer to meet us at Lee’s Ferry, we will provide you with details to meet us.
